Cafe Niebaum-Coppola

Had lunch at Cafe Niebaum-Coppola. The poet Lawence Ferlingetti was sitting across from me. The gentleman he had lunch with talked briefly about the John Kerry fundraiser here last night in SF. Francis Ford Coppola came in to say hello to Lawrence Ferlingetti; so I got to see two celebrities today. The sun is just coming out here. I spent this morning at the Embedded Systems Conference. This conference started with the Embedded folks, and has morphed into an SOC conference. Semiconductor vendors (my company included), and IP providers dominate. Synopsys is moving into the IP business, their booth was filled with IP only (no CAD/CAE software).
